THE HOOK
Under the cute is a real dominant/recessive genetics engine. Every pet
carries two alleles per trait — body type (dog), coat colors, markings,
eye colors, coat length (cat) — dominance decides what shows, and carried
recessive genes can hide for generations before surprising you in one
lucky baby. Two short-coat cats really can throw a long-coat kitten.

FEATURES (BOTH GAMES)
  * Rescue-intake loop (the "distribution system"): six rescue scenes —
Sunny Suburb, Town Park, Beach Boardwalk, City Streets, Country Farm,
    and Snowy Village
  * Stork-delivered litters with reveal moments
  * Rarity tiers: standard / sterling / prismatic
  * Fill the Dog-Dex / Cat-Dex with every discoverable look
  * 100+ props and outfits (jetpacks, fairy wings, cyberpunk visor,
formal wear). Props do not alter genes or Arena stats; equipped
outfits and theme matches are part of Fashion Show judging.
  * Cozy Arena events and Fashion Shows scored on stats and outfits —
Best In Schmo, Cutest Derp, Enchanted Tail Gala, Everyday Best
    Dressed, Adventure Outfit Trial
  * Trade on the Dog Exchange / Cat Exchange
  * DNA Lab: DNA Freezer (save genomes), cloning, and the Genome Loom
(paid unlock — build one deliberate hybrid from 2–3 saved genomes)

ART
3,000+ baked pet portraits, plus chroma-key art assets. Press and
creators can request portrait art on transparent-friendly chroma-key
backgrounds for articles and video: support@petgenomegame.com

BOILERPLATE (SHORT)
Pet Genome is a series of two cozy genetics games for iPhone — Dog Genome
and Cat Genome — made by one person. Breed pets through a real
dominant/recessive inheritance system, chase hidden genes, collect every
coat, and enter gentle competitions. Free to play, fully playable offline,
no ads, no gacha, no accounts.

BOILERPLATE (LONG)
Dog Genome and Cat Genome are cozy, single-player genetics games for
iPhone, built by a solo developer. Dog Genome is out now (released
August 10, 2026); Cat Genome follows soon. Each game
opens with a rescue call: scoop up strays, decide who stays, and grow
your kennel or cattery. Underneath the cute is a real dominant/recessive
Mendelian inheritance engine — coat colors, markings, and eye colors pass
from parent to pet, and carried recessive genes can hide for generations
before surprising you in one lucky baby. Two short-coat cats really can
throw a long-coat kitten. Players fill the Dog-Dex or Cat-Dex with every
discoverable look, chase rare sterling and prismatic births, dress pets
in 100+ props, enter cozy Arena events and Fashion Shows like Best In Schmo,
and trade on the in-game Exchange. Props do not alter genes or Arena stats,
while outfits and theme matches are part of Fashion Show judging. Both games
are free to play with optional, deterministic purchases — no ads, no gacha,
no accounts, and no in-app analytics or tracking; gameplay is fully available
offline.
